ICID 2010 highlights
ICID Declaration of Fortaleza.docx On Thursday, ICID 2010 convened in thematic panel sessions and roundtables organized around the four sub-themes of the conference: climate information; climate and sustainable development; climate governance, representation, rights, equity and justice; and climate policy processes. During the morning and evening, poster sessions were presented. |

2nd International Conference: Climate, Sustainability and Development in Semi-arid Regions CCB contribution to ICID18 Conference (2nd International Conference: Climate, Sustainability and Development in Semi-arid Regions) will take place in Forteleza (Northeast Brazil) 16-20 August 2010. The panel members will focus on the question “Lessons learned about lessons learned about climate-related hazards and disasters.” Paricipants to the panel come from different countries and academic disciplines to share their perspectives on whether lessons are only identified but not really “learned” (effectively applied). |

The All African Climate Center was initiated by Dr. Glantz in 2007 and Dr. Ye proposed the idea to Chinese Ministry of Sciences and Technology in 2009 as part of China-Africa cooperation in global climate change. In this trip, Dr. Ye and Dr. Tsegay helped a Chinese delegation which sponsored by Chinese Ministry of Sciences and Technology arrange several meetings to meet key decision makers in African Union and Ethiopia government.
