Climate and Water Affairs Please click here to view the final CCB Report of the Skopje Workshop Please click here to see the Viewbook for the Climate and Water Affairs Workshop
Understanding the links between climate change and the hydrological cycle and subsequent impacts on industry, agriculture, economics, land use, and society are of the utmost importance if the next generation of decision-makers and managers from all sectors are to be able to plan and implement robust policy in the face of climate change. Participants strengthened their capacity to adapt curricula and course materials to reflect emerging knowledge about climate and water affairs. This allows students from both the natural and social sciences to develop a cross-sectoral awareness to decision-making within their own disciplines. The disciplines were drawn from curriculum development, environmental science, geophysical science, social science, ethics, and related disciplines. Teaching staff from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Romania, Central Asia, Iran and Libya attended the workshop. The course language was English. A report is being prepared and will be added to this website. For more information about the sponsoring organization, please visit the "Sponsors" page to learn about the UNW-DCP, WMO, and CCB.
